Two Things You Need to See Before Buying New Car Audio System

Even if you are not all that young, you will still agree to the fact that no one likes to drive in a silence. Although car stereos are important but most people don’t realize until they have to drive without it. If you are one of those persons who don’t like to drive in silence and your built-in car stereo is dead, you need to spend some time over internet to get a new and better one for your car. Things can get very drab in the absence of car stereo and that’s why you must spice things up by buying a better stereo as compared to what have died in your car. When it comes to buying car stereos, it is not hard to find those people who shy away from spending more money. For many people, spending thousands of dollars on car stereo is not sensible things especially today when inflation is reaching to zenith. Buying car stereo while considering two important factors:•    The compatibility factor: The most important thing that should be there in your new car stereo is the compatibility. What it means is that the stereo system should be in a position to run all those CDs which may be made for your home CD player. For instance, there are lots of people who burn CDs and Mp3 but don’t become able to run it nicely in their car stereo system. That’s one of the most frustrating situations to be in. If you really don’t want to get in such situation, then pay attention to this regard in advance. Actually when you burn CDs, they are converted into . wav format which may not be supported by many car stereos systems. So, do make sure in advance that you are buying such stereo system which can play all sorts of CDs. •    The connectivity factor: This is another thing to check in your new stereo system. If your new stereo system doesn’t have a facility to connect another device like an external CD changer, there is absolutely no point in spending money on it.   Soon than later, you will have to use some external devices with your stereo and that’s when you will suffer a lot. These two are the most important issues, which you can actually see quite clearly, but these are the most overlooked factors as well. Most people always pay attention to such car stereos which may look more sophisticated or come with more functions. But, you must never buy such car audio system which will not be useful and usefulness is all about having two aforementioned qualities in tact.

Important Things to Consider When Returning Your Lease

Many people now a day’s opt to lease a car rather than actually buy one. This is great for those who want a new car every few years or those even those who want a pricier car at a lower rate. Either way there does come a time where you have to return your lease. Unlike owning your own car they expect to have their car back in good resale condition. So, you may want to consider a few things before returning your lease, especially if you have had a few scuffs and scraps along the way.
When you lease a vehicle it is expected that there will be some wear on the vehicle since you will be driving it. However if the lease inspector deems it excessive wear and tear you could be paying a lot of your own pocket to cover the damages. Many times dealer’s fees for repairs are more than an independent auto reconditioning shop which can perform the same quality of work. So, you may save yourself a lot of money by actually getting it inspected independently before you actually return the vehicle.
Some things that an inspection will include are things like scratches, dents in the car, chips in glass, torn upholstery, heavily soiled areas, or excessive odors. Auto reconditioning shops can help in all areas of concern for a lease return.
So, if you want to save yourself money from the dealer when returning your lease you should consider getting it inspected prior to return.
First the auto reconditioning shop will evaluate your vehicle. They will determine whether the dealer will deem your wear and tear excessive or not. There are guidelines that are followed for each type of damage incurred. It gives the standards for normal wear and tear and then what they consider excessive, which is pretty much anything above normal wear and tear. Then they will present their findings to you. They will recommend any options for repairing the damages on your lease and also give you pricing. Whether you choose to have the work done there is completely up to you. However you should definitely consider that option since it is most likely the most effective. Chances are they will be less pricey than the dealer fees which can be imposed.
Also when you return your lease vehicle you will have an accurate idea of what on your car is considered normal wear and tear and what is considered excessive wear and tear. That way you will not be fooled into any traps they may try to set you in. You will know what to expect going in, whether you have fixed the problems or not. It is always better to have a second opinion especially when it comes to your hard earned cash.
So, find an auto body shop that can perform a lease return inspection for you and get the work done at a great price with great service before you return your lease to the dealer.

Things To Do Before Buying A Car

For most of us, purchasing a new car is a serious investment we should not take lightly. Regardless if you have failed the mechanical aptitude test or you are engine savvy, purchasing a vehicle is not that hard. With numerous sources of information, you can definitely make the right choice when time comes and not receive less than your money can buy. You only need to devote the necessary time and energy to complete each step with the ultimate success.

First, decide on what type of vehicle best serves your current wants. Before choosing the color of your new automobile, you have to take under consideration your personal lifestyle and family needs. Are you living alone, or do you have family members who need you to transport them to various places? If you are a parent, a sedan, minivan of SUV might suit your family needs better than a luxurious sports car. A convertible is always looking “cool,” but will your city’s weather conditions allow you such a “carefree” car model? Furthermore, with the gas prices escalating the way they do today, you better also consider the fuel efficiency of the car you are about to purchase. Is this model you like designed to save on fuel by reducing gas mileage consumption? When you become a car owner you will thank yourself for thinking this beforehand than having to fill up your car’s tank way too often for your weekly budget. Most importantly, remember that the vehicle you will choose has to cover first your needs and then those of your friends or significant others.

Now that you have a better idea of the type of car you are looking for, is time to conduct some serious and in-depth research on possible deals. Online research, magazines, colleagues and friends can help you tremendously during this process as you need as much information on the make and model that can fit your budget and needs. Consumer review boards and numerous websites have a wealth of information on what other owners like or dislike about their vehicles. Do not get misled by colorful advertisements and “once-in-a-lifetime” deals offered by numerous car dealers in your area. Finding the best possible deal needs some time, knowledge of the market and of course, good instinct.

After completing your “homework” in advance you will be able to negotiate a better deal at your local car dealership and not be afraid of getting scammed. Having a rough idea of how much the vehicle of your choice is likely to cost you is also very important. Thus, review price guides and take notes on information like which year was the car manufactured, how much mileage has on its meter, when was last used, if it was involved in any accidents, what type of bonus features are offered in case you pay cash, if the dealer offers any refunds and/or auto-service, if the vehicle comes with a guarantee, the last time it was inspected, etc. The more you know the better informed choice you will be able to make at the end. It is also a good idea to ask a mechanical savvy friend to join you when you limit your choices to two. If you are considering of a specific car but you are far from being considered an expert when it comes to inspect a car’s engine, this is not a time to be ashamed for the things you are ignorant about. Be prepared, stay cautious, and most importantly, stay within your budget no matter what type of “dream” deal you come across.

Things to Avoid When Getting Your New Car And Auto Loan

Buying that new car at the dealers can often be filled with a number of mistakes that tip off the car salesman as to the ignorance of the buyer. He or she will often then proceed to take advantage of unsuspecting customers (victims). By being informed, though, as to things that should be avoided, you can come away knowing that you got the deal on your car loan that you wanted. Here are some things you want to avoid.
1. Dressing Up For Car Shopping
If you come into the car dealership with a lot of fancy clothes, jewelry and gold, you really can forget about being offered a good deal. They certainly will look for clues as to what kind of deals to offer their clients, and will gear the deal to what they perceive the people can afford. Also, if you drive in with a Porsche – expect to pay a higher price than others on your next car.
2. Buying At End Of Season
Every year, when it comes time for the new cars to arrive, all the older models are reduced in order to make room for the new ones. Sometimes, however, the dealer may not advertise the reduced prices in order to see if there is someone who will walk in and buy it at the original price. Sure enough, there often will be somebody who has not done some homework and found out that the same model was reduced $6,000 a month earlier. Or, possibly, worse yet, he or she could have bought the new model for just $1,000 more.
3. Show Too Much Emotion Over A Car You Like
If you give the impression that you really love a certain car and must have it now type of approach, the salesman will play on this. He or she knows that your emotions will lead you to buy it – even if the price is not quite right. This means they will most likely not be as flexible with their offers as you want them to be.
4. Don’t Be In A Hurry
Giving the impression that you are in a hurry tells the salesperson that you may not have time to think things through. This will encourage them to aim high and not give you the deal you would like to have. Instead, you want to give the salesman the impression you are not in a hurry, and this will force them to make their best offer before you walk out the door.
5. Finance Through The Car Dealer
This could be a serious mistake because – in many cases – you could get better financial terms by getting preapproved for a car loan. Dealers are sometimes notorious for adding charges, or making a bait and switch auto loan which gives you higher terms than what you initially thought you were getting.
6. Failing To Research The Car’s Value Before You Buy
Dealers often post high prices because they know that most people like to negotiate. This means that if you pay the initial offer, that you are giving them more than even they had hoped for. This leaves room for serious negotiation, but you need to know what the car is really going for on the market to be able to make the best deals.
A little homework on your part will enable you to be certain that you are prepared to do business. It will also help you get the car and the auto loan deal you wanted and will be proud of – proud enough to tell your friends and family.

Equipment Leasing ? Things To Bear In Mind

It is very common nowadays for companies to make lease contracts regarding their equipment instead of buying it first hand. If the business flourishes and makes profit, they will have the option to buy such equipment after the loan comes to an end. As you can see, equipment leasing works very much like car leasing. There are many advantages to equipment leasing, but we are not here to discuss them. In this article you will find the basic points to keep in mind regarding equipment lease contracts.

Number 1: Your Obligations Vs. The Leaser’s Obligations

As beneficial as equipment leasing might be, you have to know that you will have much more obligations than your counterpart. Once they have signed the contract, the responsibility is all yours to carry. Apart from paying the lease contract on a monthly basis, you will have to ensure the proper care of the machinery, you might even have to pay insurance fees, rental fees, among others. Make sure you will be able to handle the pressure before signing the contract.

Number 2: Security

Some leasing companies might demand some personal guarantee from you (the lessee). You might need to have a co-signer who will answer for you in case you default on the lease contract.

Number 3: Lease Contracts Are Triple-Net Contracts

What does this mean? This means that the consumer is in charge of equipment maintenance, insurance (liability and casualty insurance) and taxes (use and property taxes) associated to it. In other words, the real owner will not pay a dime as long as you are leasing the machinery.

Number 4: Hell-Or-High-Water Clause

This clause will appear on the lease contract, and it means that the lessee has the obligation to pay rent for the entire life of the lease despite any external event affecting either the equipment involved or the lease contract itself. Any claims against the leasing company must be taken separately to court.

Number 5: Defaults On Payments

Most leasing companies are very tolerant when it comes to payment dates, they know how hard it can be to get a new business off the ground, or how tough it is to keep up when your economy is not going through its best time. But as understanding as they might be, you should not abuse their trust. Tolerating slightly late payments is one thing, bearing with complete default is another. Full default on your lease payments might lead to extremely expensive legal battles you will not want to fight. Keeping up might be hard, but it is for the best.

Number 6: When The Lease Ends

When the lease contract comes to an end, you might face a variety of options regarding the equipment. Some leasers will allow you to buy the equipment at a bargain price, others will prefer a fair market value, and others will not let you buy the equipment at all. You might be able to renew the lease contract or to simply return the equipment and move on.

If it is your choice to fully terminate the contract and return the machinery, keep in mind that you will be charged penalty fees if it is not in good condition and out of working order.

Sometimes, there are different reasons to lease instead of purchasing a car. There are plenty of good deals out there, it just takes the knowledge to go seek it.

Purchasing vs. Leasing. Purchasing is usually what most people think about when going to a car dealership. What they don’t know is that there is another option. Purchasing a vehicle is simple, you finance the cost of purchasing a vehicle and you pay a monthly payment like a loan. When you a leasing a car, the payments that you are making are based on the usage of the car. Essentially you are paying for your use, kind of like renting.

The advantages of leasing your car is lower out of pocket expenses. Sometimes you may be able to get a lease with little or no down payment. Also your monthly payment is going to be lower. Also since the car is usually under manufacturers warranty for the duration of the lease, you don’t have to worry about major repairs.

Leasing disadvantages are mostly long term. You simply do not own your car when leasing it. You will never fully pay it off and not have to worry about a monthly payment again. Instead you pay up to a certain time, then give back your car. Also the lease will not allow you to drive above a certain amount of miles.

There are great deals out in the market place for leasing. There are deals at local dealerships. They have good advantages becuase you can actually sit and feel the car that you are going to take home. You can also take these cars for test drives. Look through your daily newspapers, with the automobile industry hurting, sales are plentiful.

Lease takeovers have also become increasingly popular. Many websites online allow private parties to swap leases. Lease owners put up leases that they don’t want anymore. Advantages of going this route include not having to pay the initial leasing down payment. However, this doesn’t allow you to avoid paying whatever fees the lending company may charge you.

Look into leasing if you want to get into a vehicle without have to put too much financial burden on yourself. When purchasing a vehicle, look at this alternative, and you may find something you will want to do.

Things You Need to Know before Getting a Car Loan

Things To Avoid Before Buying A Car

Nowadays, hundreds of articles advice people on what to look for before purchasing a new vehicle. But, very few articles advice a prospective car owner on what things he or she should avoid doing.
- Never enter a negotiation zone unprepared
Even if you know nothing about cars or negotiation for that matter it is in your best interest to enter the “negotiation arena” well-prepared and “armed. ” Collect as much information as possible from a variety of sources and take a mechanical savvy friend along to the dealership of your choice. It is always a good idea to be able to inspect the car at the point of purchase; much better staying a bit longer at the dealership than having to call later only to learn that “this model has always experienced similar mechanical problems and you have not purchased any service-guarantee. ” Do not enter the field as an amateur; especially if you are one. Compare cars and prices, decide on the maximum available budget and stay within your price range, secure your finances beforehand and never accept whatever the price-tag says. There is always room for negotiating a better deal, even if that is in a form of a rebate or a 5-year mechanical service!
- Research is not enough for your set of car keys
You can get online, you can ask around, you struggle with the information you will be able easily to retrieve for days. But that in many cases means you are left exhausted, confused and as time passes by, possible in despair. Overwhelming yourself with a plethora of data will not do you any good. Just stop to think things through before you act. No dealer will hold a gun to your head, at least not literally, since they need you more than you need them. It is the law of supply and demand they bow to, as any good salesman, which means that at this point in time you are in control. Enjoy it and never go to a dealership unprepared or simply showing that you are unsure of your final choice. There is enough “drama” in your life at the moment; you certainly not need any additional source of anxiety. Relax, take a couple of deep breaths, keep your car possible choices under the golden number two and enter the dealerships with confidence. Exactly like window shopping. You are not buying yet you are just looking! Ask questions, get quotes, request price offers, ask for any extra cost that might not appear on the price-tag and make clear that you are visiting other places before you conclude. You should never give the impression that you desperately need to buy the specific car you have been asking about for the last hour. Dealers are salespeople and can “smell” need and desire, miles away. Give yourself some time to see, test-drive and inspect the car(s). Even if the dealer promises you what it might seem as an incredible deal, leave the car dealership without signing any papers or leaving a down-payment; especially if that is your first day looking. Have courage and patience attitude here is the key and you will conquer your goal sooner than expected. That’s the spirit you should have.

Things to Consider Before Buying a Car From Car Dealers

Are you one of those who are planning to purchase a new car or a used car? If yes, then definitely the main source of acquiring a new or used car is car dealers. The best part of buying a car from car dealers is you have a vast variety of options, numerous financial deals and at times even maintenance service free of cost. However, the important point to note is that you must prefer buying a new or used car from registered car dealers instead of attaining them from private dealers. Besides this, the toughest decision comes when you require choosing the reliable car dealer. Not every dealer can be ideal, hence here are some of the few important factors which can help you in figuring out whether the chosen car dealer is suitable or not:

Reputation of a car dealer: The reputation or status of a car dealer is a very primary factor, which should be taken into concern before making a deal. To locate reputable car dealers, all you require is to simply look up the local Better Business Bureau for trustworthiness reports of car dealers. This report can help you in finding out some of the best and reliable car dealer located near to your locality. Moreover, you may even ask relatives and friends for past car dealers they deal with that deliver satisfaction.

Price charged by the dealer: If you assume that the price you pay is for the whole vehicle, then wake up. This is not the case when you purchase from private dealer. Most of the time, dealers include “add-ons charges” that may include car accessories, CD changers, undercarriage coatings, car interior accessories and many more. In fact, at times some car dealers influence customers into purchasing them. But, you must take care and decide by yourself whether these additional accessories would be a real advantage for you or not. Thus, it is always advisable to check the price of the car you wish to buy so that you get away from extra add-ons charges. However, you may even negotiate these extra fees since all of these services would only provide additional proceeds for the dealer.

After-sales services offered by dealer: Before you decide to buy a car from a car dealer, make sure you check out their after-sales service. Make sure that the services the car dealers provide are appropriate. These services include:

Free maintenance service – Ensure to check out whether the chosen authorized dealer provides free maintenance service or not? If yes, then try to find out what is the duration period of the free maintenance service?

Service rates – Each car dealership has various service discounts. Besides this, at times these service rates vary depending upon the location, negotiations and other factors. As a result, its best to check the service rates charged by different auto dealers.

Warranty – Some car dealers offer free extended car warranties when you purchase used cars or service and examine vehicles from them. Consequently, it is always better to check whether a dealer provides a warranty or not.

Apart from all this, when purchasing a new or old car you need to be careful not to get mislead. They may tell you a lot of things to make you buy the car. Though most car dealers are not bad, but it is better to be careful than feel sorry later. When you purchase a new vehicle or even an old auto, you usually spend a lot of money. To be on the safer side, performing little research about auto dealer will always help you. Try to find out as much as you can about the dealer. It is definitely important for you to understand that selecting a dignified and honest car dealer can lead to a good investment.

5 Things You Don’t Know About BMW

Most people think that they know everything they need to know about BMW when they go to the dealership, read about BMW in Consumer Reports or Car & Driver magazine or go online and do some “research”. You can’t go wrong by doing any of those things.

But the truth is my friend, there is so much more to the BMW experience than just the usual brochures and information.

When you own a BMW you’re not just buying a luxury car. You’re buying a tradition of quality and excellence. And to show you what I mean, let me tell you about some “little known” insider information about BMW. This is going to be like a trip through your family tree. And just like you are the way you are because of all members of your family that came before you, the same is true of BMW.

Why should you care about any of this?

First, just like you, every BMW has its own special personality that started almost a century ago in 1913. Even then the obsessive need to create great mechanical machines was born. And like most true stories of “greatness”, BMW has its roots in failure. Karl Rapp started the company as an aircraft engine manufacturer. With a gleam in his eye and a dream in his heart, his watched as his aircraft engines struggled to overcome vibration problems.

But all would not end well for Karl.In about three years the dreams of Karl Rapp were dead.

The financial problems of the company were just like a bullet through his heart. And there was no way he could survive this massive trauma. So in 1916 he sells out to Franz -Josef Popp and Max Fritz. For the next four years the company does well with the aircraft engine business. But it was not enough.

As the old saying goes, the only thing that stays the same is “change”.

Secondly, BMW started building motorcycles in 1921. And the reason this is important to you dear reader is because this was another turning point for the company. During the next six years the company has great success with its R32 and R37 motorcycles. In fact from 1924 to 1929 all German championships in the 500 ccm category were won by BMW. Can the vehicle you drive today boast of such an inspiring heritage?

1928 was a very good year. This was the year in which all descendants of every BMW model in existence today began to take shape. For like all visionaries, the owners of the company knew they had to find other markets for their engines because the world economy was changing. And they needed to change with it.

Why is the factory at Eisenach/Thuringia important to you?

Because, and this is the third thing you don’t know about BMW, this was the first factory the company owned that was licensed to build small cars. It’s sort of like saying what hospital you were born in and on what date. Do you feel the connection?

The fourth thing you don’t know about BMW is that 1932 was the first year the company entirely developed the first model BMW called the AM4. With this car BMW wins the Concours d’Elegance in Baden-Baden. Not a bad start for a car that would become a legend—-right?

And finally, the fifth thing you don’t know about BMW is that in 1933 BMW introduced the 303 saloon. This was the first inline-six cylinder engine produced by the company. This configuration is still in use in many more recent models.

Now you can no longer say that there are, “5 Things You Don’t Know About BMW”.

Things To Consider Before Buying Replacement Bmw Parts

BMW is a quality car company with a reputation for style and performance. When the time comes to repair or replace any parts, many BMW owners do not consider buying aftermarket BMW parts. They turn toward generic car parts in an effort to save a few dollars.

Not choosing BMW replacement parts to service your car is a common mistake that can diminish the quality and performance of a BMW. While original BMW parts are crafted from the highest quality materials, the same is not true of aftermarket parts. In terms of BMW parts, the higher price isn’t just because of the brand name.

Replacing a few nuts and bolts with generic parts may not appear to be a problem. However, even the smallest components of a car can cause major damage if made of substandard materials. For example, a loose bolt that was not designed for a BMW can fly off while the car is in motion, causing major damage and possibly bodily harm as well. Saving a few pennies can cost much more overall.

Maintaining the Structural Integrity of A BMW

BMW has established a tradition of well made cars that meet a quality standard for their customers. When other parts are used on a luxury car, it weakens the value of the car. The BMW no longer meets the specifications of the original model. This increases the rate of depreciation of the car, making the investment less valuable.

Depending on the parts that need to be replaced, the BMW warranty could be voided if other replacement parts are used. This is an important point to consider when deciding between BMW aftermarket parts and generic parts. Choosing BMW aftermarket parts is the only way to ensure that the car will always be in the best possible condition.

When generic car parts are used on a BMW, it also dilutes the purity of the brand. After adding various car parts, a BMW effectively becomes a hodgepodge of different brands and levels of quality. The same could be said of a glass of water with a drop of motor oil in it. The glass of water would no longer be considered water, because of the addition of the oil. A BMW could rightfully not be considered a true BMW, because of the addition of generic aftermarket parts.

Aftermarket vs. OEM BMW Parts

Ultimately, the option of whether or not to use aftermarket or OEM parts on your BMW is the owner’s choice. Many people have replaced their BMW parts with generics with no trouble at all. However, with generic car parts, there is no assurance about the exact quality of the product being put on the BMW. With BMW replacement parts, there is no question that the car will perform to the exact specifications that it was designed to in the factory.

Price is certainly a valid consideration when choosing replacement parts for your vehicles. In most cases, OEM parts will be more expensive than generics. However, by leveraging the internet, you can likely find OEM parts at a far lower cost than by getting them straight from the dealership or from the repair shop.
